Who created that EBS volume laying around? When? What was the tag value before? When did the DNS record change? Now you will know!

Where possibile, IDs and ARNs will be looked up. For example EC2 instance-id will try to find its name tag and such.

FAQs
Will it expose secrets in Slack?
AWS CloudTrail hides data it knows is sensitive, like SSM Parameter store values for example. Beyond that, care is taken to try and avoid exposing sensitive data but if you store secrets in tags, then yes, those would be posted to slack.
Does it "call home"?
It calls home with statistics, errors and such that can be helpful for development. AWS CloudTrail hides data it knows is sensitive and beyond that care is taken to not send data but can't be guaranteed.
Why the delay?
AWS CloudTrail batches events and writes them to S3 every 5 minutes or so. Narratrail processes those files with no delay. Call it "near real-time".
Does it uninstall cleanly?
Delete the CloudFormation stack and your account will be as if it have never known anything about Narratrail. But you will not want to do that!
